Trademark renewal in the Netherlands
Search for full or partial matches with the registered trademark can be performed independently. But it is safer when applying for registration to order the analysis of trademarks from Dutch patent attorneys.
In the event that even partial matches in sense or sound are found, the application may be rejected.
The trademark validity in the Netherlands is extended each time for 10 years. The application review procedure is 3 months. Documents must be translated into English, French or Dutch to choose from. For foreign entities, a local legal representative is required.
