Foreign citizens and companies must act through an attorney and translate documents into Spanish.
Price to Register a mark in Spain
The official fee for a trade mark application if filed in paper is EUR 146.03 for a single class and EUR 94.60 for each additional class; if e-filing is used the official fees is EUR 124.12 for a single class and EUR 80.41 for each additional class. There are no official fees for publication or registration.

In Spain you need to renew the trademark action every 10 years. The procedure lasts about 8 months. The application can be submitted through the National Office, the Office for the Rights Protection of the European Union or the Madrid Agreement International Office.
A trademark is renewable for a period of 10 years and valid from the filing date.
A mark can be renewed within 6 months before the expiration of the current trademark registration.

How fast the process is
The process takes approximately 5-7 months, and a Renewal Certificate is issued.
What if the deadline is missed?
After the expiration date a grace period of 6 months is provided to the registrant to renew the trademark paying an extra fee.
After the end of the grace period the mark expires without any ways of restoration, a new mark must be filed.
